Christmas decorating inspiration..

We picked up the tree last night and now to the decorating...  I will do my best to post a few pictures of the decor here.  It is pretty similar to last year I suppose.  Do you change your holiday decor each year or do you pretty much stick with the same program?

I like to change things a little bit- but sometimes I go crazy and redo EVERYTHING...

This is not that year but you know how it goes..

Today is the last day to enter our giveaway!!

eclectic walls

I love the idea of an eclectic wall arrangement.  It takes some work and a lot of time to get it right but it can be so fun when it comes together.
What about you- do you like everything symmetrical and neat or does balanced and fun do the trick?

Atelier...

For the past few months I have been considering seriously moving into a little studio space to spread out a little bit.  I would love to have a studio or shop in the front with an office and then a design space in the back for work.  Things around here are very busy and I have not had the time to really think this through.  I am curious to know if you have an office, shop or studio that you rent/own?  If you do how do you like it?  Would you recommend it?  I can use all the input that I can get!

I love this space with the industrial furnishings and the warm feeling of the flooring texture what a great and inspiring workspace.

Ohhh.. Saw this and loved it!  That color is so amazing and the mix of styles isn't so bad either!
What would you call that color I wonder?
I hope you are having a wonderful Saturday!

Flea Market Sundays..

The past few weekends I have been hitting the flea markets with great success!  Warm weather has definitely brought out the crowds though!

Pasadena was full of industrial pieces which I love!

I am absolutely in love with this hand blown lighting from Cleveland Art, I have asked them to make two lights for my Master Bath project that I am starting.

These great signs and reclaimed pieces are from Reclaim a new one for me!  Love these too!

Brothers of Industry was another great space.  There things were selling too fast for me to photograph!

I am on the look out for a basket like this for my Living room to use as an end table.  This one was a little too big for the spot and it had a bit of a tilt to it.

Another beautiful vintage gown..  This one was even better than the last!

This past Sunday I visited Long Beach, so much to love here... I only took a few pictures (I had my hands full).  Vintage French was on my mind!

The boys from Atelier de Campagne were there- always love their space.  I picked up a copy of the new Jeanne d'Arc Living book from them.  I cannot wait for the container sale that is coming up in September!

Another great vintage French fix with Fred and Coco, love the bottles, they had great sizes this time which are perfect for table top!

I took home a few goodies, which I will have to share with you once I get them together.

A Picnic and Sunset at La Tour Eiffel...

Every time I have been in France I make sure to stop by the Eiffel Tower.  I love it.. I know it is totally touristy and crazy but I love it!  It is one of my favorite things to do by far in the city.  I love to watch the sun set and see the lights come on, I guess it is the romantic girl in me but it is the best!

We brought a little picnic with us to eat before we went up to the top to watch the sun go down.  Yummy!!

We did not just have dessert but I do try and eat at least 2 types of desert each day I am there.  They are always so pretty and so good.

The view was fantastic and this time I took some extra time to take pictures of the lights below.
The little cafe on the 1st floor was redone with Tolix chairs- love it!

If you are planning on going to Paris La Tour Eiffel is always a good idea!
But be prepared it is always busy because everyone thinks it is a good idea!

bord de scene

After visiting Giverny, Sharon from My French Country home came by and picked us up to start our lovely weekend of shopping and enjoying the French hospitality with her.
Our first stop... bord de scene.

Amazing!
Christelle was a bit embarrassed when I asked to take her photo- but she is so cute- I loved her style!
As you can see her shop was just about perfect in every way.  We left bags of goodies in hand and feeling ultimately inspired and excited to see what was next!
