Lindsay Lohan's Mafia Movie Role: Back On

Lindsay Lohan headed back to the big screen.

On Wednesday, the 24 year old actress has signed a double image to see the wife of mobster John Gotti Jr., the man, Kim Gotti in Gotti: Three generations and many streets, based on a screenplay by Chazz Palminteri.

"We are very pleased to have Lindsay on board as well as film," executive producer Marc Fiore tells Us Weekly in a statement. "It 's very enthusiastic about the project Gotti, and then resume talks with him, we were impressed by his contribution to the film and felt that it would have been perfect for Kim Gotti."

(Morning, Fiore said he was not in negotiations with the Mean Girls star, sources said that its management has become too costly for the producer to handle.)

"I am excited to be back on the shelf and dispel any misconceptions about me and show what I do," Lohan told The Associated Press. "I think it is a symbolic story. I am honored to work with John Travolta and Joe Pesci."

Travolta, 57, is also excited about his new costar. "I always thought that Lindsay was beautiful, talented and filled with great depth," he told us in the film press conference last week. "I know what she wants to be great."
