Less than 24 hours after shocking early exit American Idol Season Pia Toscano 10 finalists won a recording contract, UsMagazine.com confirmed exclusively.
The 22-year-old New Yorker - booted from the Fox series Thursday - recorded his first album under Interscope Records imprint headed by Jimmy Iovine Idol mentor.
"Pia has signed a deal with Interscope Records, which is its rushing into the studio to record an album ASAP," says a source close to contract negotiations said. "From [Thursday] night after the show, told him that Interscope we wanted him and the first thing [Friday] morning, Interscope started calling all brass songwriter and producer uptown to get an album together and rushed the release.
