The 22-year-old New Yorker - booted from the Fox series Thursday - recorded his first album under Interscope Records imprint headed by Jimmy Iovine Idol mentor.
"Pia has signed a deal with Interscope Records, which is its rushing into the studio to record an album ASAP," says a source close to contract negotiations said.
