Ready for an upgrade? Apple says that the new iPhone 4 will be available in stores in the U.S., the UK, France, Germany and Japan on Thursday, July 24, and in 88 more countries by September — so now you know when you can get your hands on one.
Steve Jobs just announced the newest iPhone at WWDC, the company’s annual conference for application developers.
If you’re interested in purchasing an iPhone 4, you’ll be able to pre-order the new iPhone beginning Tuesday, June 15. Hit up the Apple and AT&T store the day phone launches if you’d rather pick up your phone in person.
As with the release of the iPad and previous-generation iPhones, expect the lines to be full of eager would-be buyers. Camp out or wait a couple days — the choice is yours. Let us know which way you’re going to go.
The iPhone 4 will be available in both black and white, either with 16 GB of storage ($199) or 32 GB ($299) with a 2-year contract. AT&T is granting early upgrade dates to some iPhone buyers, so if you’re a current 3G or 3GS owner, be sure and check your AT&T account website to see if you’re eligible.
